Cape York Motorcycle Adventures - A fleet of 23 motorcycles, and a heavily customized Toyota Landcrusier 4WD support vehicle are available to be used on our tours. All of our bikes are electric start, reliable, handle well and more importantly are lots of fun to ride. Traveling to remote areas of Far North Queensland, this magnificent part of the world will surprise and delight the novice and expert rider alike, with its long dusty trails to tight and twisting rainforest tracks, and don't forget the creeks and marshy wetlands. Along the way you will see the amazing wildlife of this unique region - crocodiles, kangaroos, native birds, wild bush pigs and dingoes. For the keen fisherman, the northern rivers have excellent Barramundi and we have the fishing tackle. Cape York provides you with the opportunity to ride on every conceivable type of terrain including sandy trails and beach riding, creek and river crossings, tight winding trails through dense wet rainforests, fast open tracks in the bull dust, rocky outcrops and hill climbs, goat tracks, burmes, wide open grasslands and much more. Get away from congested trails of your local area, The Cape is a truly massive area that is almost untouched, you will ride for hours on end and sometimes days without seeing another group of riders. The Cape York region covers approximately 150,000 square kilometres of outback Far North Queensland. The area stretches from the Daintree River in the south to the very northern tip of mainland Australia, and from the Coral Sea in the east to the Gulf of Carpentaria and the Arafura Sea in the West. Stretching nearly 650 kilometres from north to south, this huge area contains a multitude of landscape types. This ranges from lush tropical rainforests of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area in the south-east, to the wetlands of the Gulf coast, endless grasslands and dry, open, eucalypt-dotted country. Cape York Motorcycle Adventures is a privately owned company, operating in the relatively new market of motorcycle adventures in Cape York, Far North Queensland. From our base at Clifton Beach (20 minutes north of Cairns Airport) we provide a range of guided motorbike safaris to the remote areas of Cape York Peninsula. Tours are conducted on a ride/return or ride/fly basis, and are 1,2,3,5,6 and 8 days in duration or by private charter arrangements. We currently own and operate 21 motorbikes, a 14 seat mini van and a Toyota Landcruiser 4WD support vehicle that accompanies each 5 and 8 day excursion combined with modern telecommunications via Vodafone satellite telephones. Cape York Motorcycle Adventures was the second motorcycle tour company to begin operation in Australia and since pioneering the motorcycle adventure tour industry in Northern Queensland in 1990, we have grown substantially every year. Roy Kunda runs a hands on operation, personally guiding almost every departure, while wife Renae Kunda maintains the administration side of the business. Five full time staff are employed with additional guides during peak season.
