The country around Buchan and Murrindal, close to the upper reaches of the Snowy River, provides excellent recreational caving. A different kind of subterranean sport can be found across the South Australian border at the volcanic Blue Lake in Mount Gambier; here terrific cave diving takes place amazingly clear, fresh water.
