The best rock climbing in the state is found on the cliffs of Moonarie, on the outside of Wilpena Pound in the Flinders Ranges. Such is the quality of the sport on these imposing rock walls that many climbers regularly travel here from interstate. Closer to Adelaide, climbers frequent the much smaller rock faces of Onkararinga Gorge and Morialta.
