Tasmania has an abundance of great locations for sea kayaking, ranging from Port Arthur and Norfolk Bay to the Freycinet Peninsula and Macquarie Habour. Bruny Island and the D’Entrecasteaux Channel are two other excellent destinations, both located on Hobart's door-step. Less accessible but worthwhile are Port Davey and Bathurst Harbour on the south-west coast, both reached from Melaleuca Inlet.
